Stainless Steel is a waterproof hypoallergenic material. The PVD coating possess a far higher resistance to wear than traditional gold plating. While water might not cause any damage, harsh chemicals can slowly tarnish Gold Plating. We recommend avoiding harsh chemicals wherever possible and polishing your jewellery with a polish cloth to promote longevity.

Sterling Silver can withstand the natural water from a shower however it should not be worn in a swimming pool or ocean due to the chlorine and salt. If you do wear the jewellery in these circumstances, please rinse under natural water and polish with a polish cloth to help prevent tarnishing over time.

Some harsh chemicals include: Perfume sprayed directly onto jewellery, hand sanitiser, fake tanner + toner shampoos etc.
